The more I work with modern photography technology the more I appreciate the value and the beauty of the silver, gelatin print. Our culture has a short attention span when it comes to processes and products. We are constantly looking to reinvent forms and appearances, and just as quickly as they enter they fade from popularity. Our society embraces change, not because change is better rather it is different. This is not the case with black and white photography. My photographs are hand printed, individually, using the same process that photographers have employed for the past century.
I attempt to photograph the ordinary in an extra ordinary way. I find beauty within the small and the mundane. My photographic objective is to see what other see in an unmatched manner.
